When someone fills in the contact form on your site, three things happen right away:
- You get an email alert ("New lead") with what they typed: their name, phone, email and message
- It appears in "Inquiries" in your portal, with buttons to call or email them back
- If you've switched on texted alerts, your phone gets a text too
How fast? Immediately. If the email isn't there within a minute or two, it's almost always spam filtering — see "My contact form isn't working" in this help centre.
Reply from your own email Just hit reply. It goes to them directly and comes from you.
Call them fast The single biggest thing you can do with a website lead is ring them quickly. Someone filling in a form at 9pm is often filling in two or three others the same evening. Whoever calls first tends to get the job.
Automatic follow-ups "Customer follow-ups" in your portal can thank them for you and check in later. You choose what goes out, and it stops as soon as they reply or you get in touch.
Changing the address Send a request from "Requests" with the new email address and we'll switch it over.
