My contact form isn't working — help

9 times out of 10 the email is in your spam folder. Check there first.

When someone fills out the contact form on your site, it emails you. If you're not getting the emails, here's what to check, in order.

Check 1 — Look in spam / junk

This is the answer 9 times out of 10. Search your inbox for "your business name" or "contact form." If you find it in spam, mark it as "Not spam" so future ones land in your inbox.

Check 2 — Are you using the email we sent your site to?

When we built the site, we set the form to email a specific address. If you've since switched to a new email (new Gmail, new work email, switched providers), we're still sending to the old one. Send us a ticket with the new email address and we'll update it.

Check 3 — Is the form actually working?

Open your site in a private/incognito browser window. Fill out the contact form yourself with a test message and your real email. Click Submit. Did you see a "Thanks, we got your message" confirmation?

  • If YES: the form works. Your real email isn't getting it (see checks 1 and 2).
  • If NO: there's a bug. Send us a ticket and we'll look at it right away.

Still stuck? Send us a ticket with:

  • The day and time you tested
  • What email you typed into the form
  • Whether you saw the "Thanks" confirmation

We can look up exactly what reached our server and tell you where it broke.
