Email & hosting

Do I get an email address at my domain?

No — we host your website, not your email. Here's how to get name@yourbusiness.com, and why keeping the two separate is a good thing.

Short answer: no. We host your website. We don't host email, and we don't read or manage it.

That sounds like a gap, so here's why it's normal — and what to do.

Why they're separate Website hosting and email hosting are two different jobs. Keeping them apart means if you ever leave us, your email doesn't blink. Your staff keep working, your customers keep reaching you, and nothing is held hostage. Plenty of businesses have been burned the other way round.

How to get name@yourbusiness.com You already own the domain, so you just need someone to run the mailboxes:

  • Google Workspace — the common choice. Gmail, but at your domain. Around $7 a month per person.
  • Microsoft 365 — same idea if your team already lives in Outlook and Office.
  • Your registrar — GoDaddy, Namecheap and most others sell mailboxes, often cheaply. Fine for one or two addresses.

Any of them will give you DNS records to add. Send them to us in a ticket and we'll put them in for you — email records and website records live side by side and don't interfere.

What about the contact form? Your site's contact form emails you at whatever address we set up at build time. That works with any email you already have — Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, a domain mailbox, anything. You do NOT need a fancy address for the form to work.

Want to change where the form sends? Open a ticket with the new address and we'll switch it.

Is a plain Gmail address bad for business? It's fine. It will not hurt your Google ranking. A domain address looks a touch more professional on a van or a card, and that's genuinely the whole difference.
