Point your domain at your new site

Five-minute job. You log in to wherever you bought your domain (the registrar) and add two DNS records. Pick your registrar below for click-by-click steps.

Easiest option — recommended

Let us point your domain for you

Most clients save 1–2 days by skipping this whole guide. When you sign up, pick “point my domain for me.” Send us your registrar login through your client portal and your site is live in 1–2 hours, typical.

  • • We log in once, add the records, log out.
  • • You reset your password after — your account stays yours.
  • • Want us to keep handling DNS forever? Pick the managed domain add-on at intake.

Already a client? Open a ticket from your portal and tell us you’d like us to point the domain.

Or do it yourself
The two records you’re adding
TypeName / HostValue
A@76.76.21.21
CNAMEwwwcname.vercel-dns.com

DNS changes propagate in 5–30 minutes (worst case 24 hours). SSL provisions automatically once DNS resolves — no certificate to buy.

Pick your registrar

GoDaddy▾
  1. Sign in to GoDaddy → My Products → click DNS next to your domain.
  2. Find the existing A record where Name = @ → click the pencil → change the Value to 76.76.21.21 → Save.
  3. Find or add a CNAME with Name = www, Value = cname.vercel-dns.com → Save.
  4. Delete any other A records pointing somewhere else, or any 'parked page' records.
Namecheap▾
  1. Sign in to Namecheap → Domain List → click Manage on your domain → Advanced DNS tab.
  2. Set the A record: Type = A, Host = @, Value = 76.76.21.21, TTL = Automatic.
  3. Set the CNAME: Type = CNAME, Host = www, Value = cname.vercel-dns.com, TTL = Automatic.
  4. Remove any 'URL Redirect' or 'Parking Page' records that conflict.
Google Domains / Squarespace Domains▾
  1. Sign in → click your domain → DNS in the left sidebar.
  2. Add custom record: Type = A, Host = @, Data = 76.76.21.21, TTL = 1 hour.
  3. Add another: Type = CNAME, Host = www, Data = cname.vercel-dns.com, TTL = 1 hour.
  4. Disable any 'Web forwarding' or 'Synthetic records' that point elsewhere.
Cloudflare▾
  1. Sign in → pick your domain → DNS → Records.
  2. Add A record: Name = @, IPv4 = 76.76.21.21, Proxy status = DNS only (gray cloud, important).
  3. Add CNAME: Name = www, Target = cname.vercel-dns.com, Proxy status = DNS only (gray cloud).
  4. Why DNS only? The orange-cloud (proxied) mode interferes with our hosting's SSL. Always gray.
Other registrar▾
  1. Find the DNS or 'Manage DNS' panel for your domain.
  2. Add an A record with Host '@' (or blank/root) → Value 76.76.21.21.
  3. Add a CNAME record with Host 'www' → Value cname.vercel-dns.com.
  4. Remove any conflicting records (existing A records, redirect/parking, AAAA pointing elsewhere).
  5. If you can't find these, send us a screenshot of your DNS panel and we'll point at the exact buttons.

After you save

  1. DNS propagates. Usually 5–30 minutes; worst case is 24 hours but that’s rare.
  2. We see your domain go live in our dashboard and provision SSL — you’ll see https:// with a valid certificate automatically.
  3. We send you the launch email confirming everything is up. You can also test by visiting your domain in an incognito window.

Common stumbles

  • Old A records left in place. A registrar will sometimes leave a default A record from a parking page. Delete it so only the new 76.76.21.21 record exists.
  • Cloudflare proxy on (orange cloud). Switch to DNS only (gray cloud). Proxy mode breaks our automatic SSL.
  • Email stops working. If you have email at the domain, also keep your existing MX records — only change A and CNAME records, not MX.
  • Stuck or not sure?Reply to your launch email with a screenshot of your DNS panel. We’ll tell you exactly which row to edit.
